Sandy beach plus the cleanliness of the owners of coastal hotels — that’s the secret of the appearance Boardway. With the development of Atlantic city at the turn of 19-20 centuries as a recreational area for residents of the surrounding cities here like mushrooms after a rain began to appear on hotels and took they, of course, the coastline. Once a certain Alexander Boardman, the owner of one of the hotels, tired to sweep out the sand from the lobby, caused by the feet of the guests returning from the beach. So in 1870, Atlantic city has got Boardmans the Walk, which later became known as just Boardwalk.
